This stainless steel Rolex Submariner 16610LV with the fat 4 or flat 4 green bezel, the so called kermit. The watch dates back to 2005 and houses the Rolex caliber 3135 movement. The Kermit watch features the MK1 maxi dial and MK1 green bezel with the so called flat 4 or fat 4. The watch is in excellent condition with a sharp case, the oyster bracelet with hardly any stretch and the flip-lock clasp.

Rolex 16610LV Kermit 'Flat Four'
The Rolex Submariner Kermit 16610LV
50 years after the introduction of the first Submariner, Rolex introduced the reference 16610LV, the Kermit is known for its green aluminum bezel insert and a black ‘Maxi’ dial that has slightly larger indexes and hands and it uses the 16610T 40mm case crafted from 904L stainless steel. In fact, the “LV” part of its reference number simply stands for “Lunette Verte” (which means “green bezel” in French).
Introduced in 2003 and replaced in 2010. During the short production period of only 7 years there is a variety between the Submariner 16610LV watches when it comes to things like the alignment of dial text, the presence of engravings along the rehaut, and whether the bezel has a Flat 4 vs. Sharp 4 insert.
The most famous and most noticeable is the flat 4 or fat 4 Bezel, this bezel was fitted to the very first examples of the 16610LV. After these rolex changed the font and the bezel inserts got a more modern Sharp 4 variety. If you look at the “4” in the number “40” on the bezel you will notice the Flat 4 insert has a shape which is more of a trapezoid with a flat top, while the Sharp 4 bezel features a triangular shape with a pointed top section.
Besides the Bezel another big difference is that the version after 2007 got the engraved rehaut, the inner bezel ring of a watch which surrounds the dial. First with only rolex engraved and in 2008 the serial was added and found engraved between the lugs at 12.
Lastly the dials, where the most notabele aspect is the 'Swiss Made’ text at 6 o’clock. It can be printed small or wide and with 3 or 5 shortened minute markers.
